The CPUP is now open for the 2013 shipping season.Summary of 2013 program updates:
- The economic incentive rate for 2013 has been raised to $9.20 per tonne.
- Funding commitments will consider eligible shipping tolerances of up to 5%.
- The program has now extended its list of eligible crops to also include: fababeans, soybeans, and grain products (e.g.,canola meal pellets) as eligible grains.
- Funding applications of up to 125,000 tonnes per application, are now being accepted.
The Churchill Port Utilisation Program (CPUP) is a five year, up to $25 million program. It will provide support to legal entities that arrange for and transact the shipment of eligible grain through the Port of Churchill outward on ocean-going vessels.
Available Funding
Initial program funding allocations are up to $5 million per fiscal year. The maximum amount payable to any one eligible recipient for the duration of the program will not be more than $23.0 million. See details on committed and provisionally committed available funds.
