AgriMarketing

The AgriMarketing Program aims to enhance the marketing capacity and competitiveness of the Canadian agriculture, agri-food, fish and seafood sectors. The program helps industry associations to identify market priorities and equip themselves for success in global markets. It provides funding to develop and implement Long-Term International Strategies (LTIS). An LTIS is a three to five year marketing plan to enhance the exportation and recognition of Canadian products abroad.

AgriMarketing also supports export marketing activities of small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) through industry associations, as well as funding to support the international marketing of innovative products. The program requires associations to be members of the Canada Brand and have a multi-year LTIS in place.

Available Funding

Associations:

The AgriMarketing Program invites national industry associations, alliances and technical marketing organizations to submit funding proposals. The program cost-shares eligible expenses at 50%, with the associations providing the remaining 50%.

Small and Medium-sized Enterprises:

The AgriMarketing Program also invites national industry associations, alliances and technical marketing organizations to submit funding proposals from their related SME for company-specific export market development and export marketing activities. The program cost-shares eligible expenses at 50%, up to a maximum of $50,000, with the SME providing the remaining 50%. Please note that the program does not fund SME to undertake activities in the United States.

National industry associations are asked to work with the SME who are interested in accessing funding to submit an application to the program.

Associations are asked to confirm that the SME are export-ready, and an Export Ready Checklist is included as a guide for both associations and SME.

The program has earmarked $2,000,000 to fund SME activities, with an additional $500,000 for the marketing of innovative products.
