Service Standards at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada

Our Service Standards

A service standard is the expression of a public commitment to a level of performance that clients can expect when receiving the service under normal circumstances.

Service standards play an integral role in our Department's planning, reporting, and performance management processes. By meeting our service standards, we demonstrate that we are responsive to the needs of taxpayers and benefit recipients. We publish external service standards to highlight our commitment to transparent management, accountability for results, and citizen-centered service delivery.

Reporting

Performance against service standards will be tracked and the results will be made available to clients on an annual basis.

These performance reports will be used by the Department to identify:

  • Trends in service performance
  • Strengths
  • Areas for improvement

The 2010/2011 fiscal year was the first year of service standards data collection and performance reporting at AAFC. View the Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada Service Standards Biennial Report: Fiscal Years 2010-2012.
