Research Publications
These publications have been peer reviewed (evaluated by independent experts) as part of the publication process to ensure they meet the highest standards of scientific and technical excellence.

Other Science Related Publications
These publications represent non peer-reviewed outputs of AAFC scientific endeavour and use various vehicles to communicate AAFC scientific activity. They include patents, conference proceedings, books, reports and AAFC scientific activity. They include patents, conference produced and distributed publications among others.
Collections
Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada maintains several large national biological reference collections. These include the Canadian National Collection of Insects, Arachnoids and Nematodes which at 16 million specimens is considered one of the best working collections of its kind in the world. There are also significant collections of fungi and vascular plants.
Specialized Databases
Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada has a number of specialized databases available for general use. These contain various information files resulting from science programs such as on Brassica genomics or Canadian soils via the Canadian Soil Information System (CanSis).
Progress in Research
Progress in Research (2011) and Cultivating an Innovative Advantage (2009) highlight the major activities of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) scientists.
