Important Dates for Application Process
AgriFlexibility will no longer be accepting new proposals
AgriFlexibility has received an overwhelming response from the provinces, territories and/or industry. As such, we will no longer be accepting new proposals at this time.
However, the AgriProcessing Initiative is still accepting proposals.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligible recipients may receive funding either directly from AAFC, or through an initiative using AgriFlexibility funds. These recipients could include, but are not limited to: individuals, partnerships, universities, colleges, cooperatives, marketing boards, organizations relating to the Canadian agriculture and agri-food sector, provincial / territorial / municipal governments, including their institutions, agencies and corporations, non-profit organizations and for profit companies.
Note: Initiatives undertaken in partnership with provincial and territorial governments, including their institutions, agencies and corporations must be cost-shared on a 60:40 basis.
Processor Sector
If you are an agri-processor you must direct your application to the AgriProcessing Initiative (API) and it will be assessed under API criteria. Under API, an agri-processor is an organization that has at least 51% of their income from processed agricultural, agri-food or agri-based products and must have been in operation for at least one year. For full details on eligibility or to receive an application form, please visit the AgriProcessing Initiative website.
