Promoting Agri-Based Investment Opportunities

Agri-Investment Symposium - March 1-2, 2010

The Agri-Investment Symposium will bring together investors and innovative entrepreneurs to present the latest in Canadian developed agri-technology, bioproduct and food investment opportunities.

This symposium is the first event supported by the Promoting Agri-Based Investment Opportunities intiative of the Growing Canadian Agri-Innovations Program under Growing Forward.

Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC) is hosting the Agri-Investment Symposium in conjunction with the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA).

Agri-Entrepreneurs interested in presenting their agri-business venture to a targeted audience of investors at the symposium must submit a completed Presentation Request form, Investment Presentation and Executive Summary by e-mail attachment by January 21, 2010. **The deadline has passed and presentation requests are no longer being accepted for this event.Information and registration details for future events will be posted at AAFC Online prior to each Agri-Investment Symposium.

Agri-Entrepreneurs will be screened and selected by a selection committee based on the quality and experience of the management team, the proprietary nature of their products or services, market opportunity, and financials. The top 10 agri-entrepreneurs will be invited to present at the Agri-Investment Symposium.

Selected agri-entrepreneurs will be provided with coaching and mentoring to ensure a professional presentation to potential investors.

• 10-minute presentation slot to targeted investors
• Complimentary passes for two company executives
• Entrepreneur profile published in event guide and marketing materials
• Opportunity for one-on-one meetings with potential investors

Growing Forward, a federal-provincial-territorial initiative
