Gansu Provincial Department of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry (GAAH), PR of China

The Gansu Provincial Department of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry (GAAH) sets provincial agriculture policy, directs agriculture production, trains and helps peasants to improve technology and marketing, carries out government co-operation projects aimed at improving the local environment and ecology, scientific social development and increasing the income of local farmers through international co-operation in agriculture and the application of new technologies. The Gansu provincial government has chosen the city of Qingyang to initiate the co-operation.

Letter of intent

Letter of intent between Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada and the Gansu Department of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry, Gansu Province, People's Republic of China for collaboration in agriculture

Purpose

The participants have a mutual interest in research, training, technology transfer and the future sustainable development of agriculture in both countries.

Objective

The participants declare their intent to develop expert exchanges in the area of co-operation related to agriculture and agri-food.
