Canada's annual chicken and turkey meat production totals more that 1 billion kilograms, eviscerated equivalent. The poultry industry exports over 20 million live birds per year to 86 countries, plus more than 1 million kilograms of poultry meat and edible by-products.
Canada's dairy sector plays an important role in the Canadian agriculture and agri-food economy. Dairy production generates $5.31 billion in total farm cash receipts and $13.1 billion in manufacturing sales.
