Current Projects:

  • Platforms for the expression of recombinant proteins in seeds. The focus is on developing systems to reduce endogenous seed storage protein accumulation and studying the biology of seed protein trafficking and comparmentalization.
  • Insect genomics and proteomics platforms leading to the identification of novel targets and strategies for insect resistance. The focus is on insect digestive biochemistry.
  • Sclerotinia sclerotiorum-Brassica napus interactions and identification of genes/markers for stem rot resistance in canola.
