• Investigation of the factors controlling the greenhouse gas nitrous oxide, denitrification and nitrification rate and microbial organisms involved in nitrogen cycle
• Development of strategies to control potato common scab by identifying mechanisms of resistance in potato to Streptomyces scabiei and the use of biopesticides based on antagonistic organisms to reduce the presence of the pathogen in soil
