  • Development of genetic technologies and enhanced cultivars to mitigate weather and disease-induced loss of wheat market value and food quality
  • Expansion of the International Crop Information System (ICIS) to include marker data modules, develop queries and deploy to AAFC wheat enhancement
  • Genome mapping for grain quality traits of durum wheat
  • Improvement of efficiency of genetic enhancement through application of quantitative genetics and biometrics principals.
  • Integrated pest management of the wheat stem sawfly to reduce business risk of sustainable cropping system in the dry prairies
  • Investigate, modify, develop and apply data and information management tools to facilitate storage, retrieval and sharing of data, research information and pedigrees
