Bean breeding, quality and molecular genetics.
Determination of environmental effects on food grade soybean quality and development of large-seeded food-type soybean for niche markets
Develop and release improved (yield, quality, adaptability, and/or disease resistance) cultivars and breeding lines of soybeans
Develop technologies and enhanced ability to quantify quality attributes of soybeans and soy products and determine how various soybean traits affect the yield and quality of soy products
Developing new pulse crop cultivars with improved quality and processing opportunities while reducing production risks
Development, evaluation, and implementation of impoved testing procedures to evaluate food grade soybeans, to enhance exports and strengthen the Canadian Food Grade Soybean Industry
