  • Évaluation et gestion des contaminants biologiques et chimiques présents dans le fumier d'animaux d'élevage et de volailles (LACUNES)
  • Établissement d'indicateurs pour évaluer si les sols peuvent recevoir des résidus organiques, et ce, selon les caractéristiques des éléments nutritifs du sol, ses besoins agronomiques et sa qualité biologique, chimique et physique
  • Élaboration de nouvelles pratiques et technologies de manipulation et d'application améliorées visant à augmenter l'efficacité de l'utilisation des éléments nutritifs et à réduire les risques pour la santé et l'environnement liés aux résidus organiques
  • Élaboration de nouvelles technologies de traitement visant à augmenter la valeur économique des déchets organiques, à conserver l'azote qu'ils contiennent et à réduire leur teneur en phosphore ainsi qu'à limiter les risques pour la santé et l'environnement liés au produit
  • Compréhension accrue des formes de phosphore et de son devenir dans les composts; élaboration de pratiques de gestion bénéfiques sur le compost utilisé dans les cultures horticoles (LACUNES)
