Current Projects:

• Develop and improve methodology for quantifying trace gas fluxes (N2O, NH3, CH4, CO2) and particulate matter.
• Quantify crop growth and biomass in response to weather and soil conditions using remote sensing, micrometeorology and modelling.
• Quantify greenhouse gas emissions from agricultural practices at the field-,farm- and regional-scales using micrometeorological techniques and laser instrumentation.
• Verify process-based models describing 1) greenhouse gas emissions and ammonia volatilization from agricultural sources and 2) crop growth.
• Evaluate the impact of beneficial management practices on air quality.
• Estimate particulate matter emissions from agriculture for Canada.
