  • Amélioration ou maintien de la résistance à la rouille noire, à la rouille des feuilles, aux taches foliaires, à la carie, à la pourriture des racines, à la pourriture de la couronne, à la décoloration du grain, au charbon nu, à l'oïdium, aux virus ainsi qu'au pythium
  • Détermination de l'incidence des stress biotiques sur les céréales et de leur gravité afin de suivre les enjeux actuels et en émergence
  • Élaboration de stratégies de gestion des risques biotiques dans les systèmes de production végétale, en particulier dans les systèmes utilisant peu d'intrants et les systèmes de production biologique
  • Évaluation des variétés de cultures pour leur résistance aux agents biotiques et détermination des risques liés à la production végétale
  • Détermination de biotypes nuisibles et des maladies des céréales (c'est-à-dire la virulence des phénotypes, les races et les isolats résistants aux pesticides) dans les populations d'organismes nuisibles
