  • Cereal functional genomics of biotic and abiotic stress, plant engineering, gene expression analysis, winter hardiness, fungal diseases: snow mould resistance, smut and bunt, stripe and leaf rust, biorefinery, methodology development, DNA marker assisted selection; gene modification, genomic and cDNA clone isolation, proteomic maps, lipid metabolism, winter and spring wheat, tritcale.

  • Response to abiotic and biotic stress in plant
  • X Triticosecale platform for the production of proteins, biopolymer precursors and oligofructans.
  • Sequence identification of proteins associated with Fusarium head blight (FHB) resistance in wheat and barley.
  • FHB mycotoxin detoxification and increased resistance to initial infection in wheat and barley. $423,000.
  • Biotechnology for Increasing Seed Oil content in Canola.
