Areas of Expertise:

  • study of the factors that influence the efficiency of nutrient use in the production of milk and milk components
  • Study of the intermediary metabolism of dairy cows: factors affecting release (absorption or synthesis) or utilization of nutrients by the gut, the liver and the mammary gland, on a net or total stable isotopes basis.
  • improvement of the transfer of protein from dairy rations into milk protien in order to lower milk production costs (competitiveness of the dairy sector) and reducing nitrogenous excreta in the environment

  • Measurements and prediction of net amino acid flows in the digestive system, liver and mammary gland
  • How protein and energy supply interact in the regulation of milk yield?
  • Effect of onclusion of canola meal in dairy rations
