Canadian Agriculture and Food International Program

This program ended on March 31, 2009. The following is for information purposes only.

The Canadian Agriculture and Food International (CAFI) Program was designed to support Canada's agriculture, agri-food, fish, and seafood industry. Its objective was to build long-term international strategies to ensure the industry is well-positioned to:

  • Succeed in key markets
  • Respond to increasing consumer requirements
  • Face global competition

The CAFI Program functioned on the basis of matching industry invested funds. In-line with a challenging global market, the program also supported activities that enhanced and promoted Canada's reputation as the world leader in safe and high-quality food products.

CAFI is now replaced by the AgriMarketing Program.
